Detail information about the scheme is available on Currently over 2.6 million students from all over India studying in different Universities (and in some states like Maharashtra at the +2 level also)are members of the scheme. It is funded by the Central and State Government and the respective Universities. It is a two year programme. In each year a volunteer has to complete at least 120 hours of work.
